Chris Greenslade
Osteopath & Clinical Director | North Norfolk & Norwich
Movement-based osteopathic care, grounded in biomechanics, built around you.
Chris Greenslade is an Osteopath, Clinical Biomechanics Specialist and the Clinical Director of Apollo Health Collective, providing evidence-based musculoskeletal care from the clinic's locations in Sheringham, Coltishall and Norwich.
Chris founded Apollo Health Collective with a simple but ambitious vision: to create a multidisciplinary clinic where clinical excellence, scientific evidence and genuine compassion work together. His belief is that healthcare should never leave people feeling confused or dependent on ongoing treatment. Instead, every patient should understand why they are experiencing pain, what is contributing to it, and how they can play an active role in achieving long-term recovery and resilience.
With over a decade of clinical experience, Chris has developed a particular interest in biomechanics, movement analysis and rehabilitation. Rather than focusing solely on where pain is felt, he looks at how the entire body moves, identifying the mechanical, neurological and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to symptoms. This whole-person approach allows treatment to address the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction, helping patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements rather than short-term relief.
Chris combines traditional osteopathic assessment and hands-on treatment with advanced movement analysis and objective clinical technology, including VALD ForceDecks force plate testing and Footscan pressure analysis. These tools provide detailed insight into how the body generates force, distributes load, maintains balance and compensates for injury or weakness. By combining this objective data with clinical expertise, Chris develops highly personalised rehabilitation programmes tailored to each patient's goals, lifestyle and stage of recovery.
His approach is particularly valuable for people experiencing persistent or recurring back pain, neck pain and joint problems, individuals recovering from surgery, runners and athletes seeking to optimise performance, and anyone wanting to understand why symptoms continue to return despite previous treatment. Every rehabilitation programme integrates manual therapy, movement retraining, strength development, exercise prescription and education, empowering patients to move with greater confidence while reducing the likelihood of future injury.
Alongside his clinical practice, Chris is passionate about advancing musculoskeletal healthcare through education and research. He writes extensively for the Apollo Health Collective blog, translating complex clinical topics into practical, evidence-informed advice that helps people better understand their bodies and make informed decisions about their health. His commitment to lifelong learning has led him to pursue doctoral research as a PhD applicant, ensuring that his clinical practice continues to reflect the latest developments in biomechanics, rehabilitation science and evidence-based healthcare.
Chris graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been practising for more than 10 years, building extensive experience across musculoskeletal medicine, rehabilitation and clinical biomechanics. Throughout his career he has worked with people from all walks of life—from office workers and manual labourers to recreational exercisers, competitive athletes and those recovering from injury or surgery. He also has experience treating children and young people with musculoskeletal and movement-related conditions, adapting assessment and treatment to meet the unique needs of growing bodies.
Whether someone is seeking relief from long-standing pain, recovering from an injury, preparing to return to sport or simply wanting to move with greater ease, Chris's goal remains the same: to deliver thoughtful, evidence-based care that helps people understand their bodies, regain confidence in movement and achieve lasting improvements in their health and wellbeing.

What To Expect
Listen and Understand
1
Your appointment begins with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, work, hobbies and personal goals. We want to understand not only what hurts, but how your symptoms are affecting your everyday life and what you want to achieve through treatment.
Assess and Identify
2
We carry out a thorough clinical assessment using a combination of physical examination, movement analysis and, where appropriate, advanced biomechanical technologies. Rather than focusing solely on the area of pain, we assess how your body moves as a whole to identify the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms.
Personalised Treatment & Rehabilitation
3
Based on our findings, we'll explain your diagnosis in clear, straightforward language and develop an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs. Depending on your condition, this may include hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, movement retraining, clinical exercise, soft tissue therapy or advice to support your recovery.
Recover, Build Resilience & Stay Active
4
Our aim is not simply to reduce pain but to help you move with confidence and reduce the risk of future problems. We'll support you throughout your recovery, adapting your treatment and rehabilitation as you progress while providing the knowledge and tools to help you maintain your results long after your appointments have finished.

An osteopath diagnoses and treats problems with muscles, joints, nerves and connective tissue. Treatment typically involves hands-on techniques — soft tissue work, joint mobilisation or manipulation — combined with movement assessment and an individually tailored exercise programme. At Apollo, Chris also uses force plate technology and pressure mapping to assess how you're loading and moving, giving a more complete picture than physical examination alone.
-
Chris sees patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back and neck pain, hip and knee problems, shoulder and elbow injuries, postural issues, and sports-related injuries. He also works with patients post-surgery, supporting structured rehabilitation back to full activity, and sees children and young people with musculoskeletal and movement-related concerns. If you're unsure whether your problem is something Chris can help with, call the clinic and we'll advise you.
-
Your first appointment with Chris begins with a full case history and movement assessment — including, where appropriate, VALD force plate and Footscan analysis. Hands-on treatment typically begins in the same session. You'll leave with a clear explanation of your diagnosis and a practical plan for what comes next. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and be prepared to move.

Yes. Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession in the UK. By law, anyone using the title "Osteopath" must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the statutory regulatory body established by Parliament to protect the public.
To maintain registration, osteopaths must complete an accredited osteopathic degree, meet strict standards of professional practice, undertake regular continuing professional development (CPD), and adhere to the GOsC's Code of Practice. They are also required to maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
At Apollo Health Collective, all of our osteopaths are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and are committed to providing safe, evidence-informed, patient-centred care. This means you can feel confident that your treatment is delivered by qualified healthcare professionals who are accountable to nationally recognised standards.
Chris Greenslade’s registration number is 10699.
