Frequently Asked Questions

What conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including back and neck pain, sports injuries, tendon pain, joint injuries, post-operative recovery, running-related injuries and persistent pain presentations. We also work proactively with clients who want to improve performance, movement quality and resilience.

What makes Apollo Health Collective different?

We combine hands-on treatment with objective assessment and structured rehabilitation. Using technology such as VALDsystems and Footscan gait analysis, we measure strength, force production and load distribution rather than relying solely on subjective assessment. Our goal is long-term resolution, not short-term symptom relief.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No referral is required. You can book directly with us for osteopathy, rehabilitation, movement assessments, gait analysis or reformer pilates. We may from time-to-time refer you back to your GP or suggest alternative treatment pathways if we don’t think our services are appropriate but you can rest assured we will make all decisions with your best interest at heart.

What happens during my first appointment?

Your first session includes a detailed history, movement assessment and, where appropriate, strength or gait analysis. We will explain the cause of your symptoms, outline a clear treatment plan and begin treatment on the same day where suitable.

Do you offer post-surgical rehabilitation?

Yes. We provide structured, milestone-based rehabilitation following procedures such as ACL reconstruction, shoulder stabilisation, spinal surgery and joint replacements. We follow surgical protocols while tailoring progression to your individual goals and recovery capacity.

Can you help with running injuries?

Absolutely. We specialise in running-related pain and performance optimisation. Our running gait assessments evaluate technique, cadence, impact loading and strength deficits. You will leave with practical strategies to improve efficiency and reduce injury risk.

How do your movement assessments work?

We use industry-leading systems from VALD to objectively measure strength, asymmetry and power. This allows us to identify hidden deficits, monitor progress and make data-driven rehabilitation or performance decisions.

Are custom orthotics right for me?

Custom orthotics may be appropriate if you experience persistent foot, ankle, knee or lower back pain linked to loading patterns. Using dynamic pressure analysis with Footscan and 3D-printed technology from Phits, we design precision orthotics tailored to your gait and activity demands. All prescriptions include a complimentary fitting appointment.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on the nature and duration of your condition, your goals and your capacity to implement rehabilitation outside of sessions. After your initial assessment, we will provide a clear, structured plan with expected timelines and progression milestones so you understand exactly what to expect.
