Community Walking Group

Free, friendly walks around Sheringham and North Norfolk, helping you stay active, connect with others and enjoy the outdoors.

What is the Community Walking Group?

Our Community Walking Group is a free, friendly group open to anyone who would like to get out, move more and meet new people. Walking is one of the simplest ways to look after your health, and doing it together makes it easier to keep going.

Saturday morning walks are an easy-paced 2.75 to 3.25 miles and take around an hour, finishing with a coffee and a chat. On the first Saturday of each month we meet at our Sheringham clinic; on other Saturdays we explore different areas, often suggested by our walkers.

We also run Wednesday evening walks of 3.5 to 4.5 miles for those who would like a little more challenge, sometimes over more varied terrain. During the darker months, Wednesday walks follow pavement routes for safety.

There is no commitment and no pressure. Come as often as you like, walk at a comfortable pace and enjoy the company. We walk all year round, except when conditions are icy.

Because our meeting points change from week to week, please let us know in advance if you are planning to join. Each week's route and meeting point is shared in our weekly newsletter.

The walking group reflects our approach to healthy ageing: helping you stay active, social and confident in your movement for years to come.
