Clinical Exercise Intervention

Personalised clinical exercise intervention in Norfolk to help you recover from injury, manage pain, build strength, improve mobility and return to exercise, sport and everyday activity.

What is Clinical Exercise Intervention?

Clinical Exercise Intervention is a personalised approach to exercise designed to help you recover from injury, manage musculoskeletal conditions, improve physical function, and build long-term resilience.

At Apollo Health Collective, we use exercise as an integral part of rehabilitation and preventative healthcare. Rather than providing a generic exercise programme, our clinicians assess your individual movement, strength, mobility, physical capacity, health history, lifestyle, and goals before developing an exercise intervention tailored to you.

Clinical exercise can be particularly valuable when you have experienced an injury, undergone surgery, developed persistent pain, or lost strength and confidence through inactivity. It can also support people who want to improve their physical capacity, reduce their risk of future injury, return to sport, or maintain strength and independence as they age.

Our multidisciplinary approach means clinical exercise can sit alongside osteopathy, sports rehabilitation, podiatry, Pilates, massage therapy, and other services at Apollo Health Collective. Where appropriate, we can combine clinical treatment with progressive exercise to help bridge the gap between feeling better and functioning better.

The ultimate goal is to help you become more capable and confident in your own body. Through progressive, measurable exercise and ongoing guidance, we help you develop the strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness required to live an active and healthy life.

What To Expect

Understand Your Health Goals

1

We begin by understanding where you are now and where you want to get to. This includes discussing your symptoms, medical history, previous injuries, lifestyle, activity levels, exercise experience, and personal goals.

Assess Your Physical Activity

Your clinician will assess the areas most relevant to your goals. Depending on your needs, this may include strength, mobility, balance, coordination, cardiovascular fitness, movement quality, and functional capacity.

This provides a baseline from which we can build an appropriate exercise intervention and, where appropriate, objectively monitor your progress.

2

Build Your Programme

3

Your programme is designed around your individual needs and capabilities. Exercise may focus on strength, mobility, stability, balance, cardiovascular fitness, coordination, or functional movement.

We start at an appropriate level and progressively increase the challenge as your capacity improves. This ensures your programme remains purposeful without progressing faster than your body can tolerate.

Progress & Empower

4

Clinical exercise is designed to help you become increasingly independent. We monitor your response, adapt your programme, and progressively challenge your physical capacity as you improve.

Our aim is to give you the knowledge, confidence, and physical capability to continue exercising and managing your health long after your initial rehabilitation has finished.
