Emma Fair
Senior Osteopath & Paediatric Osteopath | North Norfolk
Helping babies, children and adults move more comfortably, naturally and confidently.
Emma Fair is a Senior Osteopath at Apollo Health Collective, providing compassionate, evidence-informed osteopathic care from our clinics in Sheringham. Since qualifying from the renowned European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in 2011, Emma has built extensive experience helping people of all ages overcome pain, improve movement and return to the activities they enjoy.
Joining Apollo Health Collective in 2018, Emma has become known for her calm, thorough and patient-centred approach. She believes that successful treatment begins with listening carefully to each person's story and understanding how their symptoms are affecting their daily life. Every assessment and treatment plan is tailored to the individual, with the aim of not only relieving pain but improving function, restoring confidence and supporting long-term wellbeing.
Emma treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, joint pain, sports injuries, headaches and persistent musculoskeletal problems. She has a particular interest in supporting people living with long-term conditions such as osteoarthritis, helping them manage pain, improve mobility and maintain independence through personalised osteopathic treatment, advice and rehabilitation.
Alongside her general osteopathic practice, Emma has developed a specialist interest in paediatric osteopathy and enjoys working with babies, children and young people. She understands that children are not simply smaller adults and adapts her assessment and treatment to suit each stage of development. Whether supporting babies with musculoskeletal tension, helping active children recover from injury or assessing movement-related concerns in adolescents, Emma provides gentle, thoughtful care in a calm and welcoming environment for both children and their families.
Emma also has a longstanding connection with the world of gymnastics, having previously competed and now actively working within the sport. This experience gives her valuable insight into the physical demands placed on young athletes, dancers and performers. She particularly enjoys working with gymnasts and dancers, helping them recover from injury, optimise movement, improve flexibility and strength, and reduce the risk of future problems while supporting their long-term performance.
Her treatment approach combines both structural and cranial osteopathy, allowing her to tailor treatment to the individual rather than relying on a single technique. Depending on each patient's needs, treatment may include gentle manual therapy, joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, cranial osteopathy, movement advice and rehabilitation exercises. Emma's focus is always on finding the most appropriate approach to help each patient achieve lasting improvements in comfort, movement and quality of life.
Emma is passionate about providing healthcare that is both reassuring and empowering. She believes patients should leave every appointment with a clear understanding of their condition, realistic expectations for recovery and practical advice they can use to support their own health between appointments. By combining clinical expertise with genuine compassion, she helps people of all ages—from newborn babies to older adults—move more comfortably, recover with confidence and continue doing the things that matter most to them.

What To Expect
Listen and Understand
1
Your appointment begins with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, work, hobbies and personal goals. We want to understand not only what hurts, but how your symptoms are affecting your everyday life and what you want to achieve through treatment.
Assess and Identify
2
We carry out a thorough clinical assessment using a combination of physical examination, movement analysis and, where appropriate, advanced biomechanical technologies. Rather than focusing solely on the area of pain, we assess how your body moves as a whole to identify the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms.
Personalised Treatment & Rehabilitation
3
Based on our findings, we'll explain your diagnosis in clear, straightforward language and develop an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs. Depending on your condition, this may include hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, movement retraining, clinical exercise, soft tissue therapy or advice to support your recovery.
Recover, Build Resilience & Stay Active
4
Our aim is not simply to reduce pain but to help you move with confidence and reduce the risk of future problems. We'll support you throughout your recovery, adapting your treatment and rehabilitation as you progress while providing the knowledge and tools to help you maintain your results long after your appointments have finished.

Paediatric osteopathy applies the same clinical principles as general osteopathy but adapts assessment and treatment to meet the unique needs of babies, children and young people. Children are constantly growing and developing, so their bodies require a gentle, age-appropriate approach that considers their stage of physical development, movement patterns and individual needs.
Emma Fair has a particular interest in paediatric osteopathy and provides gentle osteopathic care for babies, children and adolescents with a range of musculoskeletal and movement-related concerns. Treatment is always tailored to the child, using carefully selected techniques that are comfortable, appropriate and designed to support healthy movement and development. Emma also works closely with parents, ensuring they understand the assessment findings, treatment plan and any advice or exercises that may support their child's wellbeing.

Yes. Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession in the UK. By law, anyone using the title "Osteopath" must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the statutory regulatory body established by Parliament to protect the public.
To maintain registration, osteopaths must complete an accredited osteopathic degree, meet strict standards of professional practice, undertake regular continuing professional development (CPD), and adhere to the GOsC's Code of Practice. They are also required to maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
At Apollo Health Collective, all of our osteopaths are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and are committed to providing safe, evidence-informed, patient-centred care. This means you can feel confident that your treatment is delivered by qualified healthcare professionals who are accountable to nationally recognised standards.
