Rebecca Basten

Osteopath | North Norfolk

Taking the time to understand your pain, personalise your treatment and support your recovery every step of the way.

Rebecca Basten is an Osteopath at Apollo Health Collective, providing personalised, evidence-informed osteopathic care from our Sheringham clinic. She is passionate about helping people overcome pain, recover from injury and regain confidence in movement through thorough assessment, hands-on treatment and tailored rehabilitation.

Rebecca graduated from Swansea University with a Masters in Osteopathy, where she developed a strong foundation in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Throughout her clinical training, she gained valuable experience working in both the University's on-campus teaching clinic and an NHS community clinic, treating patients of all ages with diverse musculoskeletal presentations. This broad clinical exposure enabled her to develop a thoughtful, patient-centred approach while working alongside experienced clinicians in a variety of healthcare settings.

Rebecca believes that every patient deserves to feel listened to, understood and actively involved in their recovery. She takes time to understand not only where pain is occurring, but how it is affecting everyday life, work, sport and the activities that matter most. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, combining hands-on osteopathic treatment with practical advice, rehabilitation exercises and education to help patients achieve lasting improvements in movement, function and overall wellbeing.

She enjoys treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, joint pain, sports injuries and persistent aches and pains. Rebecca has a particular interest in rehabilitation and helping patients build strength, confidence and resilience throughout their recovery, whether they are returning to work, everyday activities or sport.

Alongside her academic training, Rebecca has remained actively involved in sport, having played football at various levels for many years. Her own sporting background has given her first-hand insight into the physical demands of training, competition and recovery, while volunteering as a musculoskeletal therapist with her local football team further developed her practical experience supporting athletes through injury rehabilitation, injury prevention and return-to-play programmes. This understanding allows her to work confidently with both recreational and competitive athletes, as well as anyone looking to stay active and move more comfortably.

Rebecca is committed to lifelong learning and continually developing her clinical knowledge to ensure her patients receive care that reflects current evidence and best practice. As part of the multidisciplinary team at Apollo Health Collective, she works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care, ensuring every patient receives the most appropriate support for their individual needs.

Whether you're seeking treatment for a recent injury, living with persistent musculoskeletal pain or simply looking to improve the way you move, Rebecca's goal is to provide reassuring, personalised osteopathic care that helps you understand your condition, recover with confidence and return to the activities you enjoy.

What To Expect

Listen and Understand

1

Your appointment begins with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, work, hobbies and personal goals. We want to understand not only what hurts, but how your symptoms are affecting your everyday life and what you want to achieve through treatment.

Assess and Identify

2

We carry out a thorough clinical assessment using a combination of physical examination, movement analysis and, where appropriate, advanced biomechanical technologies. Rather than focusing solely on the area of pain, we assess how your body moves as a whole to identify the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms.

Personalised Treatment & Rehabilitation

3

Based on our findings, we'll explain your diagnosis in clear, straightforward language and develop an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs. Depending on your condition, this may include hands-on treatment, rehabilitation exercises, movement retraining, clinical exercise, soft tissue therapy or advice to support your recovery.

Recover, Build Resilience & Stay Active

4

Our aim is not simply to reduce pain but to help you move with confidence and reduce the risk of future problems. We'll support you throughout your recovery, adapting your treatment and rehabilitation as you progress while providing the knowledge and tools to help you maintain your results long after your appointments have finished.
